    Smokers Guide to Vaping

    Inhalation Styles

    Mouth-to-Lung Inhalation

    Inhalation is done by mouth-to lung (MTL). Smokers draw smoke into their mouths before inhaling into their lungs. Vapers are often using the same technique, and they need to learn how to get the best vapor.

    A device with adjustable airflow is best, since mouth-to lung inhalation works best when the draw is tight. Many new vapers cough excessively when the airflow is wide open.

    The devices that are suitable for mouth-to-lung use have higher-ohm-atomizers. These items don’t require high wattages, but 10-20 watts is sufficient. You should look for atomizers or tanks with a resistance greater than 1.0 ohm.

    Take into consideration the diameter of the atomizer and the chimney. Sub-ohm tanks have a higher airflow and coils that are low resistance. They also offer high power settings. Choose a tank with an atomizer head that has a larger diameter or wider bore. This combination provides a more open airflow that mouth-to-lung users dislike. When choosing your vaping device, keep this in mind.

    When selecting a vape liquid, choose one that has a higher PG ratio, and more nicotine. Juices that contain equal amounts of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol or have a higher concentration PG in comparison to VG are suitable for mouth-to-lung vape devices. MTL devices create less vapor which is why a higher nicotine content is needed. Vapers must therefore use a vape liquid with a nicotine level of 12 mg/ml and higher.

    Direct-to-Lung Vaping

    Direct-to-lung vaporizing is when men and women inhale the vapor into their lungs. This is similar to the hookah pipe inhalation method. Draw the vapor directly down into your lungs by taking a deep breathe. Cloud-chasers and long-term vapers use this technique to create the biggest vapor cloud.

    Direct-to-lung-inhales need a higher airflow setting and a device with lower-resistance coils. Many people choose a sub-ohm coil that has a resistance of less than one ohm. For the best effect, they combine this coil and a power setting above 25 W.

    Direct-to lung vaping is different from mouth-to -lung, as it involves inhaling the vapor into your lungs directly. It’s more like inhaling from a hookah or taking a deep breathe. This is a simple one-step procedure: You draw the vapor into your lungs and then exhale. Long-term vapers will do this more than new switchers.

    To increase airflow, look for a coil with a larger surface area. Vape juices that have a higher VG content (60 percent or more) are recommended, since vape juices high in PG can be harsh with a device with a low resistance and high power. Choose a juice that has a nicotine level of no more than 6 mg/ml for best results.

    Which Technique should be used?

    Vapers should experiment with both methods to find out which one they prefer. It comes down to personal preference. Some vapers want to replicate the smoking experience by using the MTL method. Some vapers want to demonstrate their cloud-producing abilities and use the direct-to lung technique. Explore the options and find what you prefer.

    Men and women should consider their puffing technique in addition to the inhalation technique to get the most out of this activity. Vapers who are experienced know how to get the most enjoyment by getting more nicotine from each puff. Why is that? What are the differences in the two activities?
